About the Programme
Digitalization and automation are set to transform the future of manufacturing in Industry 4.0. As additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing) is one of the nine pillars of technologies for Industry 4.0, it is essential for young learners to learn the fundamental concepts of additive manufacturing to future-proof themselves.
Our young learners will learn how to operate a Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printer, download ready designs for printing, with an emphasis of the Singapore Laws involved in the downloading of digital design of additive manufacturing parts.
Learning Outcomes
• Learn how to operate a Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printer, the safety aspect of operating the equipment, and test printing a part
• Use the 3D Pen for simple art projects
• Learn some simple Science concepts on heat, states of matter, changes of state and energy changes
