Suitable for Ages: 10 – 15

About the Programme

Learners will be able to build various micro:bit projects that will develop their programming ideas using MakeCode. Learn to program various interactive games such as creating their version of Flappy Bird and Snake Game.

Throughout the Coding camp, they will also receive in-depth knowledge of how the little robotic device can sense light, movement, temperature, sound and much more. By the end of this course, learners will gain a basic understanding of block programming and how software can communicate with hardware through the usage of inbuilt peripherals and input/outputs.

Overview of the Camp

Suitable for Ages: 10 – 15

In this 1-Day camp, students will learn how to assemble their custom Arduino board with just a few basic components. They will gain knowledge about resistors, capacitors, and the microcontroller chip as they build and program their board using the Arduino IDE. Once their Arduino board is completed, students can develop and control various electronic projects, such as blinking LED lights and motorized vehicles.

At the same time, they will acquire basic programming skills as they navigate through the programming software to create flashing light patterns to replicate the functions of a traffic light system. It is a great way for your child to develop problem-solving skills, encourage creativity, and gain exposure to electronics and programming.

Overview of the Camp

Suitable for Ages: 7 – 12 | No coding experience is required.

For children between 7 – 12 are to be accompanied by one adult.

In this 2-Hour camp, craft your non-enclosed container for the terrarium with minimalist design and sustainable materials using a 3D pen and provided templates. Our trainer will introduce what uses of 3D pen and educate students on how the plants can survive in a non-enclosed container. This hands-on experience will foster creativity, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature.

By the end of the workshop, you and your child will have a unique terrarium to take home.

Overview of the Camp

Suitable for Ages: 9 – 15 | Ages for 7 & 8: To be advised.

In this 1-Day camp, students will be introduced to additive manufacturing and TinkerCAD briefly to get them started on simple design modifications. They will learn to 3D print some of the parts of the mechanisms using a Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printer. They will then learn to assemble the 3D printed parts with the respective electronic hardware of the micro:Maqueen. Simple coding is done to test the mechanisms before a complete coding is done to allow the micro:Maqueen to do the required tasks and applications using the attached mechanisms.

This camp covers the mechanism design for a side gripper. It comes in the form of having two different mechanism designs where the young learners will have a basic understanding of gear theory and four-bar linkages. The young learners will get to know the pros and cons of either design and their respective applications.
